7 Jul 2026 | Innovationsmarkt China: Kooperation, Kompetenz, Transfer

China Day Ruhr Niederrhein in cooperation with the German-Chinese Business Association e. V. on July 7, 2026 in Bochum

China has developed into one of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems. In some areas such as AI, renewable energies, battery technology, or 5G, the country is already setting its own standards. At the same time, China offers large test markets, rapid scaling opportunities, and state support for many sectors. Therefore, cooperation between Germany and China is an important instrument to transfer results from research and development into marketable products more quickly.

Together with the German-Chinese Business Association e. V., the China Competence Network Ruhr Niederrhein (C-NET RNR) is organizing its annual China Day on the topic “Innovationsmarkt China: Kooperation, Kompetenz, Transfer” (Innovation Market China: Cooperation, Competence, Transfer) on 7 July 2026. In the context of bilateral cooperation, China or Germany competence is a key qualification for scientists and professionals, for start-ups as well as for already established companies in international technology transfer. The event will discuss with participants from science and industry how bilateral cooperation can be optimally implemented and which challenges need to be considered. What does China (or Germany) competence mean in this context? How can it be acquired and used profitably?

The China Day Ruhr Niederrhein will take place on July 7 from 10:00 to 15:30 at the Veranstaltungszentrum of Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Room 1). In addition to keynote speeches and reports, there will be space for personal exchange on ongoing projects, cooperation initiatives, and changing framework conditions for cooperation in and with China. Further information and the program of the event can be found on the website of C-NET RNR.
