It is a pleasure to announce the publication of AREA Ruhr Working Paper No. 5 on Recent Trends in Taiwan Studies: Digital Applications for Education and Research which offers a collection of six papers plus an introduction. The publication is based on the third international workshop of the TAP Project Group (Taiwan als Pionier / Taiwan as a Pioneer), that was held at the Ruhr University Bochum in autumn 2024, and focused on Digital Teaching and Digital Humanities in Taiwan Studies. Guest Editor of this AREA Ruhr Working Paper is Yu-Yin Hsu, the leader of the TAP subproject on Education as a Motor for Modernity hosted at the Ruhr University Bochum. TAP was funded by the BMBF (Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt).
