Ms Yasmin Koppen, the first graduate of the MERCUR-funded AREA Ruhr Graduate School, successfully defended her dissertation „Landscapes and Legitimation: Localization Tactics of Political and Religious Authorities in China and Adjoining Empires“ on 24 January 2022.
Ms Koppen continues her study of the transcultural aspects of hydrolatry as post-doctoral researcher at the chair of religious history, University of Leipzig by Prof. Dr. Christoph Kleine. Her research will contribute to the research profile Global Connections and Comparisons, based on the work of the Leipzig Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe).
