Jihoon Chun participates in the Association for Asian Studies 2021 Annual Conference as panel organiser and paper presenter for the organised panel session titled “New Architects of Empire: Reconfiguring Sovereignty and Authority in Nineteenth-Century East Asia.”

He gives a presentation titled “Defenders of a Confucian Empire Confronted with “Public Law of All Nations”: Qing-Chosŏn Negotiated Sovereignty and Protectorate During 1882 – 1895.”
